Download the latest version of Gedae.
Windows Vista & XP users should use the "One-Step Install" Binaries unless they wish to customize their installation. To perform the one-step install:
Save the download as Gedae.zip
Unpack the zip file on your hard drive
- (with no spaces in directory)
Run gedae\user\nt\startGedae.bat
Windows 2000 users can still use the "One-Step Install" if they have installed the Windows 2000 Support Tools. If you do not wish to install the Support Tools, please use the Customizable version of the installation.
If you wish to customize your Windows installation, download the Customizable version and save it as gedae.tar.gz. Then use WinZip, the tar and gunzip utilities in Cygwin, or another file compression utility to both unzip and untar the file. Then follow the instructions in "quick_install.doc" to install Gedae.
To unpack the file on a Unix-based system, download the file to a temporary directory and save it as gedae.tar.gz, and then perform the following:
gunzip gedae.tar.gz
tar xvf gedae.tar
Then follow the instructions in "quick_install.doc" to install Gedae.
